The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K6C20A8 is a PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal. This is a microprocessor-based device with primary purpose of providing real-time visualization and control of a certain process or machine. This terminal is primarily designed in compatibility with most industrial applications located in almost any industry. It has a hardware which can be fitted with appropriate protection equipment to suit the area of classification and environmental conditions. The 2711P-K6C20A8 allows the operator or process user to monitor the process via the 5.7-inch colored TFT screen with display resolution of 320 x 240 in 18-bit color graphics. Control and input commands are introduced via the keypad input interface which is composed of Ten (10) functions keys, navigation, alpha-numeric, confirmation and cancel buttons. This keypad assembly is engineered remain operational at minimum 1 million actuation counts using an operating force of 340 g. The 2711P-K6C20A8 is also equipped with a battery-backed clock that may be used for time-stamping of critical data. It may also be used to trigger time-based specific actions such as printing, load scheduling and other similar applications. This Real-Time Clock (RTC) utilizes a replaceable CR2032 coin-cell lithium battery with appropriate replacement part number of 2711P-RY2032. The 2711P-K6C20A8 is provided with an Ethernet I/P communication interface that supports data transmission speed of 10/100 Mbps with auto-negotiation capability. It supports linear ethernet topology however, Device Level Ring (DLR) topology may also be implemented with the use of external ethernet switches such as the Stratix unmanaged or managed switch or ETAP ethernet module. It also has an RS232 interface that enables point-to-point, short distance communication.
