The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T10C4D2 belong to the PanelView Plus 1000 product category of graphic operator terminals. This operator terminal is capable of being downloaded with custom process mimic design, for the purpose of representing the necessary monitoring and control points of the system.

This operator terminal may be used to communicate with the Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as PLC5, SLC500 and MicroLogix controllers. It is also capable of interfacing with the latest Logix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platforms such as CompactLogix and ControlLogix controllers. Communication may be established through any of the available communication interfaces such as Ethernet and RS232 as well as USB ports.

The Ethernet interface is used for modern communication devices and supports multi-partner communication. It uses a LAN cable crimped with an RJ45 connector and supports 10/100 mbps communication speed with auto-negotiation function. It supports 100 meters of communication and may be extended further with the use of a repeater and media converter. The RS232 interface supports DF1 protocol which is used for peer-to-peer communication over short distances. The USB ports are used for connecting external peripherals such as mouse, keyboard, printer and other devices.

The 2711P-T10C4D1 has a 10.4 inch colored display screen and permits operator interaction through the analog resistive touchscreen interface, designed up to 1 million actuations with an actuation force of 10-110 g. The embedded memory amounts to 128 MB Random Access Memory (RAM) and 128 MB Flash Memory. This operator terminal is powered by an external 24VDC power supply voltage.
