Schneider C103MG040 thermal-magnetic trip unit

This TM40G is a 3 poles 3d thermal-magnetic trip unit used on ComPacT NSX 100/160 circuit breakers. This 40A rating thermal-magnetic trip unit is an optimum choice for generator protection applications. It embeds an adjustable thermal overload protection and a fixed magnetic protection against short-circuits. This product is part of our EcoStruxure Power architecture if associated with PowerTag NSX and ComPacT NSX basic frame.

Compared to traditional tripping devices, Schneider's thermal-magnetic trip unit features dual protection. First, when an overload occurs through the bimetallic strip, the heat generated causes the strip to bend, triggering an internal trip. Second, in the event of a short circuit or excessive current, the internal magnetic coil generates magnetic force to trigger the tripping device.
