Allen Bradley 1715-TASIB16D Termination Assembly

The 1715-TASIB16D is an assembly module and Allen-Bradley is its manufacturer. This device belongs to the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1715 Redundant I/O module series. It is a digital input Simplex Allen-Bradley module. It comes with 0.5 N-m of screw torque and it also offers support for the Allen-Bradley 1715-IB6D module. The power dissipation on this module is 4 Watts maximum. This module is supported by stranded copper wire with a gauge of 22 to 16 AWG. The wire must weigh 133 grams and be 132 x 42 millimeters in dimensions. It is mainly used for redundant I/O processes. The module ships with 16 channels and it operates with a 32 Volts DC power supply and an operating backplane current of 260 milliamps. The 1715-TASIB16D module has isolation for 50 Volts of continuous power. Basic insulation is present for the I/O ports to the backplane. No isolation is present between the individual I/O ports.

The 1715-TASIB16D module is built inside of a NEMA open enclosure with the RFI suppression enabled. The module radiates 20 V/M with 200 Hertz frequency, which is 50% of the pulse. The module can be mounted by using the supplied DIN rail. The module is also widely used due to its compact size. It can be set up in any small location. The dimensions are 1 5/8 inches in length, 4 5/8 inches in width, and 6 1/2 inches in height. The standard operating minimum temperature for this device is -25 degrees Celsius and the standard maximum operating temperature is 70 degrees Celsius. A humid environment with up to 95% non-condensing relative humidity is ideal for the optimal functioning of the device. The 1715-TASIB16D has passed several different standards and certifications that are required for it to be able to be installed in different countries. These standards include health, safety, and environmental standards also. This device’s enclosure is only IP20 rated, so it is not resistant to liquids. The installation environment should be free from liquids and electrical noise.
