The 1791DS-IB8XOB8 is a 16-point digital combination module designed for signal transmission between PLC devices and safety devices.

The safety inputs are designed for Sink wiring configuration with minimum On state voltage of 11VDC and input current of 6 mA. The Test output channels support sourcing configuration with rated output current of 0.7A with maximum residual voltage of 1.2V and maximum leakage current of 0.1 mA. The Safety outputs supports sourcing wiring as well, with rated output current of 0.5A, maximum residual voltage of 1.2V and maximum leakage current of 0.1 mA.

The 1791DC-IB8XOB8 has built-in Self-diagnostic functions and configuration lock feature. The module’s integrated I/O status data provide information regarding Individual Point Input Status, Combined Input Status, Individual Point Output Status, Combined Output Status, Individual Test Output Status, and Individual Output Readback (actual ON/OFF state of the outputs).

The Allen-Bradley 1791DS-IB8XOB8 CompactBlock is a DeviceNet guard combination module with a 20.4 to 26.4 Volts DC I/O power supply voltage (with a nominal voltage of 24 Volts DC), an 11 to 25 Volts DC communications power supply voltage and a 110-mA current consumption of at 24 Volts DC.

This module has 8 safety inputs, 4 test outputs, and 8 solid-state safety outputs, along with individual status indicators installed.
