The 1606-XLSRED switched-mode power supply from Allen-Bradley operates with 24 to 60 Volts AC input voltage while generating a rated power output of 480 Watts. Switched-mode power supplies from Allen-Bradley are known for their excellent performance and superior efficiency. The 1606-XLSRED power supply is a CE-marked device. It supports both single and 3-phase application demands and it is part of the XLS performance series manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It features a power boost of up to 150% which can handle the startup loads. The 1606-XLSRED power supply features a buffer which can provide a boost function, buffering load current during main faults, switching events, and peak loads. The device is designed in a compact way which saves a lot of panel space. The device has a rated output current of 20 Amps. During installation, the device should not be exposed to hazardous locations.

The 1606-XLSRED power supply should be installed in a clean and dry location with no traces of electromagnetic noise. The device should not be exposed to condensation or moisture. This device is a redundancy module for currents rated at up to 20 Amps. The diodes are utilized to isolate the 2 inputs. The device has no circuit monitoring feature available but it is a perfect fit for situations where a power supply is equipped with a DC OK contact. There is less heat generation in this device than in other power supplies. The voltage drop between the input and output is reduced. The 1606-XLSRED power supply can only be operated in a temperature range between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius. The device has been rated with an IP 20 class III level of protection. No overtemperature protection is available in this power supply. The return voltage resistance of the device is 200 Volts DC.
