Schneider XPSMCMCN0000SG expansion connector

This Modicon MCM backplane expansion connector is used to connect various expansion modules to the safety controller CPU. It facilitates secure communication between safety expansion components and the safety controller CPU. The unit features a 5-pin, rear-panel plug-in connector design (comprising one male and one female connector) and weighs 0.01 kg. The Modicon MCM modular safety controller is TÜV SÜD certified, meeting industrial safety standards for PL e (Category 4) per EN/ISO 13849-1 and SILCL 3 per IEC/EN 61508 and IEC/EN 60261. This backplane expansion connector is compatible with both expansion modules and the safety controller CPU. It is designed for mounting on an Omega 35 mm DIN rail compliant with the IEC 60715 standard. The Modicon MCM modular safety controller system offers flexible scalability, ranging from configurations with 8 inputs and 2 dual-channel (or 4 single-channel) outputs to those with 128 inputs and 16 dual-channel (or 32 single-channel) outputs, along with up to 32 or 48 diagnostic status outputs. The system is designed to monitor various safety functions on and around machinery, thereby minimizing the risk of personnel exposure to hazardous moving parts.
